Hey there, I’m Caroline
I’m a twenty-something trying to live her most intersectional and sustainable life. I’m a rebel for quite a few causes, including the rights of the LGBTQ+ community (of which I am a member) and intersectional feminism.
Welcome to Rebel & Radiate, a blog dedicated to rebelling against discrimination, wastefulness and fear, and radiating positivity, curiosity and awareness.
Over the past few years, I’ve learned more about sustainable living past making sure to recycle and compost everything possible. I’m working towards lower waste and more ethical solutions for the things I’m most passionate about, especially fashion and beauty. Every time I need to replace something in my beauty drawer, I have been purchasing cruelty-free products.
Without even knowing it, I was raised to be a feminist. My grandmother, who married older than most women her age in Argentina (but younger than a lot of American women at the time), had a long career as a periodontist, and she always reminds me that I need to have an established career before I start a family. I grew up with a lot of strong female role models, from family to teachers. Lately, I’ve come to the realization that intersectional feminism doesn’t just mean equal treatment for all people when it comes to issues like equal pay, it also means being a conscious consumer and putting my support behind companies and brands that treat their employees well.
I’m still learning about the most ethical and sustainable way to live my life and by following this blog, you can join on my journey! We are all works in progress. I also hope my blog inspires people to just be themselves and love who they are. Do you and f*ck anyone who says you shouldn't. I don't want to put out an unattainable, insta-perfect vibe - because no one's life is like that.
